Trip Description:

Experience magnificent Bridal Veil Falls, explore Tonsina Point, and more!

We launch from Lowell Point and hug the coastline to Tonsina Point before redirecting our route around Tonsina Point’s signature alluvial fan. Keep an eye out for eagles, sea ducks, diving birds, porpoise, harbor seals and sea lions. We make our first landing at Bridal Veil Falls and take a short hike to the base of the waterfall.  Explore the falls, enjoy a small snack and a hot drink. Our hikes and walks may require the use of snowshoes, depending on the time of year and amount of snowfall. When you’re ready, we head back to our boats and paddle to Tonsina Point where we make our second landing of the day, weather and time dependent. Enjoy a sandwich lunch and experience the magnificent surroundings and explore the captivating ghost tree forest. From Tonsina Point, we make our final paddle back to Lowell Point.

Boots, rain gear, sandwich lunch, snacks, hot drinks & kayaking gear

What you should bring:

Synthetic fabric layers, gloves, beanie and/or baseball cap, wool/warm socks, sunglasses and water. Please do not wear jeans or cotton fabrics - they hold on to water when they get wet and can make your trip uncomfortable. We'll do our best to fill in the gaps with our gear where we can.
