Adventure Sixty North has been doing the winter, spring, summer, and fall kayaking tours in Seward, Alaska for years and have found that at times it can be a bit chilly and maybe down right cold, but it turns out that most everyone that has done one of these trips comes back excited and happy. We do our best to provide a bit of extra's to help with the comfort for those that are true adventurers and are willing to make a bit of sacrifice of comfort to see something amazing! We always advise folks making reservations in these off season times to try to have a plan B should we have to cancel due to wind, waves, and temperatures making for unfavorable kayaking experiences. These trips are for the hardy and we will discuss in length our recommendations for gear and clothing selection when you call to reserve a trip.
Winter Kayak Tours
Kayaking in Resurrection Bay
March - May conditions permitting.
Kayaking in the off season can be one of the best times of the year to paddle if you like having Resurrection Bay to yourself and enjoy snow covered mountains surrounding you as you paddle. This time of the year can be a bit chilly and cold at times and we try to provide a bit of extra gear to help with that. The scenery just doesn't quit and it is still possible that you may encounter the lonely whale or orca that are residents here from time to time. These trips can get cancelled frequently so we recommend that everyone plans a plan B just in case.
