Winter shuttle to Exit Glacier & Kayak Rentals

SHUTTLE IS AVAILABLE AFTER OCT 30, 2020 CONDITIONS PERMITTING

If road and weather conditions permit, travel by van to Exit Glacier Nature Center

where the trail system begins. The Alaska DOT closed the road at 1st gate to local traffic on Oct 25, 2020. We operate by special permit with our vans to transport people the next 7 miles. WE will only operate if road conditions permit, this can be spotty at times.

Once you are there!

Dress for winter conditions, boots, gloves, appropriate outerwear!

Weather conditions change quickly, be prepared.

It is colder at the glacier than in town, take water.

No cell phone coverage out there so plan your visit.

The hike normally takes approximately 1.5 hrs to the overlook trail and back to the Nature Center

where we pick you up 2 hrs later without snow or ice. However, should snow shoes be or mini cleats may be necessary due to ice or snow,  more time should be considered.
