    tonsina Description

This adventure is great for first time paddlers, families, groups, or adventurers with limited time to experience the wonders of Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska.   These trips are offered morning and late afternoon. Check out our Bear Lake trip for kids younger than 8 years old!

This trip departs from Lowell Point on the south end of Seward.  We follow the remarkable western coastline of Resurrection Bay to Tonsina Creek. As we kayak, we are looking for sea ducks, diving birds, eagles, porpoise, harbor seals and sea lions. Depending on the time of the salmon run, you may also see salmon fighting their way upstream at Tonsina Creek! Stretch your legs, explore the ghost tree forest, skip rocks, and enjoy the pristine surroundings at Tonsina Point. After exploring the beach, having a snack and hydrating, we kayak along the coastline and return to Lowell Point.

    Please Note:

    • Morning tours are normally easy

    Bridal Veil Falls

One of the Local favorite kayaking destinations

    Bridal Veil Description

Looking to maximize your trip in Resurrection Bay while in Seward, Alaska? Experience magnificent Bridal Veil Falls, extend your water time, explore Tonsina Point, and more! This three-quarter day trip is also a great option if you’re trying to decide between a half-day and full-day kayaking adventure.

This trip follows a similar route to our Tonsina Point trip. We launch from Lowell Point and hug the coastline to Tonsina Point before redirecting our route around Tonsina Point’s signature alluvial fan. Keep an eye out for eagles, jumping salmon, sea ducks, diving birds, porpoise, harbor seals and sea lions. When we arrive at Bridal Veil Falls, we will take a short walk on an unmaintained trail to the base of the waterfall, explore the surrounding area, and enjoy a small snack and a hot drink. Time permitting, there may be an option to make a second landing at Tonsina Point.  Enjoy a sandwich lunch and experience the magnificent surroundings, watch Salmon fight their way upstream, and explore the surrounding rain forest. From Tonsina Point or Bridal Veil Falls, we make our final paddle back to Lowell Point.
