One huge beautiful Ice Rink with Icebergs poking though the ice...increadible sight even in the winter.Looking at the outflow from the Bear Glacier Lake where the river cuts through the beach area and flows to the

Bear Glacier

Tonsina Point! The salmon stream is a popular 3-4 hr kayaking trip from Lowell Point.
The walk bridge that crosses here is  part of the Coastl Trail to Caines Head where the abandoned Ft McGilvery is located. The fort is veiwed after hiking up the trail while doing our Caines Head trip!Puffins are encountered as we padldle near Caines Head.
The nest in the rock cliffs in that area. They are very beautiful but are not so graceful when they land.Part of our paddle into Tonsina creek at high tide.A beautiful paddle returning from Tonsina! Most of the time we enjoy hot drinks and snacks while we break at the beach.The waters color is one of the highlights of your paddle..It is the one part of the trip that is always consistant. Aialik Bay
Kayaking in Pedersen Lagoon in Ailaik, near Pedersen Glacier. This is a area with ice bergs to paddle near and stunning scenery, known for lots of bears!Typical Ice Berg ice formations on a great kayaking day.
