Mik Jedlicka  Guide 2012 & Safety Specialist
Mik is an accomplished outdoor professional!  During her youth, Mik spent many summer days in Minnesota,  canoeing lakes and rivers, merely wetting her appetite for the years which would follow.  She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received a degree in Environmental Studies and Geography.  Her passion for water, mountainous wilderness, and remote places led her to Alaska, where the mountain, ocean ecosystems and landscape are unrivaled.  She began sea kayak guiding in 2004 and quickly padded her kayaking resume with a 1,400 mile kayak expedition up the Pacific Coast's Inside passage....and she has not stopped. Her love of the wilderness and organic style led her to become an outdoor educator with the Outward Bound School where she continued her explorations of Alaska's coast with multiple expeditions in Prince William Sound, parts of the Gulf Coast, and countless trips into the Kenai Fjords National Park. Mik's knowledge of Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords (the Seward and surrounding area) coastline, her gentle style, her eye for safety, and her incredible back country cooking skills are sure to provide you with the highest quality kayaking experience.

Mark Dalpes
Guide & (Back Country Advisor) 2012
Born and raised in Colorado, Mark grew up chasing his seven siblings around the slopes of the Rocky Mountains.  After attending college and trying his hand at mutual fund accounting, Mark opted for a trip to the San Juan Islands where he began his guiding career.  Fourteen years later, Mark enjoys guiding so much he jokes that he is retired now and will have to work really hard later in life.  A natural educator, Mark spent five of those years teaching sea kayaking and mountaineering for the Outward Bound School in Washington, Alaska, and Chile.  Preferring human powered vacations, Mark has spent months exploring the Alaskan coastline by kayak and by ski.  An 80 day expedition up the inside passage only intensified his love of the Northwest Coast and perfected his talent as a s'more maker.  To be sure that life is a continuous adventure, Mark spends the winter months heli-ski guiding and ski patrolling in the Alaskan Chugach Mountains.  Mark's knowledge of the Gulf Coast is admirable and his gentle genuine style will welcome you to Seward.
